Created by Aimee Hawkins, Reader Development Librarian (Adults) for Warwickshire Libraries, Book Bingo was designed to encourage reading for pleasure, promote wellbeing, and help readers make new literary connections. Aimee began her library career as a teenager in her local library in Leicestershire before studying Information and Library Studies at Aberystwyth University. Her innovative Warwickshire Libraries Book Bingo challenge was named the 2026 Midlands Winner at the British Book Awards.

A passionate advocate for reading as a form of self-care, Aimee has also hosted author events and interviewed an impressive range of writers, including Lee Child, Rosie Goodwin, Kit De Waal, Sally Page, Sophie Hannah, Tom Heap and Mike Gayle.
